Our Staff

	Dan Hale – President.  Dan has been part of Shepard, Maxwell & Hale since 1987 with a diverse background in business administration.  Dan has his Life and Annuities license, Property and Casualty license and Broker’s license.  Dan specializes in School Districts and Fire Departments and heads the agency’s Personal Lines department and Financial Services under Genesee Planning Services, LLC.
	Steve Maxwell, CPCU – Vice-President.  Steve joined the agency in 1992, when his family-owned agency Maxwell-Maney, combined with Shepard Agency.  Maxwell-Maney agency was formed in 1918 and Steve joined in 1981.  Steve earned the insurance designation CPCU (Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter) in 1987 which is one of the insurance industry’s highest designations.  Steve has his Life license, Property and Casualty license and Broker’s license.  Steve heads our Commercial Lines department.
	Monica Hale-Dawson – Secretary-Treasurer.  Monica joined the agency in 1973 when it was known as the Shepard Agency.  She has her Property and Casualty license and Broker’s license.  Monica has perpetuated from within the agency when in 1995, she, Steve Maxwell and Dan Hale purchased the agency from Gerald Shepard.  Monica manages the operations and financial departments of the agency.
	Kim Nevinger, CIC – Assistant Secretary.  Kim joined Shepard, Maxwell & Hale in 1997 and has been in the insurance industry since 1989.  Kim has her Property and Casualty license, Broker’s license and Life license.  She also holds the insurance designation “CIC” (Certified Insurance Counselor). Kim is a Sr. Agent in our Commercial Lines Department and manages the Agency Automation Department.
	Pat Wolcott – Pat joined Shepard, Maxwell & Hale in 1986 and is a Customer Service Agent in the Personal Lines insurance department.  Pat has her Broker’s license and has over 26 years experience in insurance.
	Marianne Linsey, CISR – Marianne holds the “Certified Insurance Service Representative” designation.   She has her Broker’s license  with over 22 years experience in the insurance industry.  Marianne came to Shepard, Maxwell & Hale in 1999 and services the Personal Lines department.
	Lusanne Simard, CISR – Lusanne joined Shepard, Maxwell & Hale in 2002 and has her Broker’s license.  In 2008, Lusanne obtained her "Certified Insurance Service Representative" designation or CISR.  She brings with her a diverse background in automation, software programs and customer service.  Lusanne is a customer service agent in our Commercial Lines department.
	Jeanne Palmer – Jeanne is our Customer Service Agent.  She came to our agency in 2002 with a diverse background in operations, automation and customer service.  Jeanne is a licensed Property & Casualty agent in NY State.

	Sherry Tomasino – Sherry has been with the agency since 1991.  She is a licensed Property and Casualty agent with experience in both personal lines and commercial lines and has over 28 years experience.
	Kelley Granby – Kelley has been a licensed Property and Casualty agent for 14 years.  She joined our Hamlin office in 1999 with experience in both Personal and Commercial lines.
	Rebecca Bessell – Rebecca has her Property and Casualty license and her Life license.  She joined Shepard, Maxwell & Hale in 2001 and works in Sales and Service.  Rebecca has over 25 years experience in all areas of insurance.
